Search

At the heart of chipmunk lies its search functionality. Filters let you define reusable search conditions, keep them with a session, and apply them when needed.

Managing filters

Filters can be created from the search input and adjusted later without recreating the session. They help keep relevant conditions available while exploring logs.

Find in search results

Find in Search Results locates matching text within the entries produced by the current search. It helps identify specific occurrences without replacing the primary search, while highlighting matches in both the search results and the main logs.

Library

The library keeps the filters and charts applied to the current session in one place, so the active analysis setup stays easy to review and manage.

Presets

Presets let you save filter and chart collections for reuse across sessions. They can also be imported and exported when you need to share or move an analysis setup.

Presets are kept after restart. Since the most recently added or edited presets are usually the relevant ones, only a limited number of them is stored. This limit can be changed with "Max persisted unpinned presets" in App Settings, and setting it to zero keeps pinned presets only.

Presets that should always survive a restart can be pinned from the preset card menu. Pinned presets are kept regardless of that limit and are listed first, marked with a pin.
